Intelligent Matching System:
Developed an automated instructor matching algorithm that pairs learners with suitable DVSA-registered instructors based on location, transmission preference (manual/automatic), and availability within 24 hours, eliminating lengthy search processes.
Unified Mobile Platform:
Created comprehensive iOS and Android applications with learner dashboards for progress tracking, lesson scheduling, and secure in-app messaging/calling that protects personal phone numbers whilst maintaining seamless communication.
AI-Powered Safety Layer:
Implemented machine learning models to automatically detect and flag phone number sharing in chat conversations, ensuring platform compliance and protecting user privacy throughout the learning journey
Flexible Instructor Tools:
Built a complete instructor management system allowing instructors to set their own hours, create custom lesson packages, configure pricing structures, and receive instant payouts, providing true business autonomy
What we did?
Architected and deployed a scalable two-sided marketplace platform serving 1,300+ instructors and facilitating 20,000+ successful driving test completions with real-time matching and scheduling capabilities.
Engineered secure in-app messaging and calling infrastructure with number masking to protect user privacy whilst enabling seamless communication between learners and instructors.
Developed AI/ML models to automatically scan chat conversations and detect attempts to share personal contact information, maintaining platform integrity and user safety standards.
Integrated multiple payment systems including Apple Pay and Google Pay, then migrated from Stripe to Ryft payment gateway, achieving 4% reduction in transaction costs (setup fees, processing charges, and payout fees) to improve instructor earnings and platform cash flow.
Built comprehensive admin dashboard with role-based access control (RBAC) and advanced security measures for back-office management, enabling efficient oversight of instructor verification, learner support, and platform operations.
Implemented automated customer support system using AI to handle common queries from both learners and instructors, reducing response times and support overhead whilst providing 24/7 assistance.
